Avid Products earns its place in the #22 program in three very different ways: lightweight titanium tools in my pack, heavy-duty bogies in the skid and drivers in my high-horsepower race sleds.
The point is not to replace parts just to say the sled is modified. The right component has to solve a real problem: carry less weight, survive hard use or transfer power without becoming the weak link.
I carry Avid's titanium tools because every ounce matters in the mountains—but the tool still has to be useful when something needs attention away from the shop.
The AEROLITE wrench uses a Grade 5 titanium body, interchangeable ends and 1/4-inch-drive socket compatibility. The wrench body weighs 40 grams.
I use Avid HD bogies where durability and low rolling resistance matter. Race sleds expose weak components quickly, so this is not a place I want a marginal part.
Avid's heavy-duty idler wheels pair a lightweight wheel with larger premium bearings designed for strength, service life and efficient track rotation.
I use Avid drivers in my high-horsepower race sleds. When the engine makes serious power, the driveline has to transfer it to the track consistently—run after run.
Avid builds driver options around different shafts, track pitches and track-window layouts. Correct fitment is part of the setup, especially on modified race applications.
